GRAND DESIGN SHOW

GRAND DESIGNS
The Birmingham NEC is where it was located. It over packed with people. It was a very busy day. After walking through most it I was getting tired and a bit bored. At that point I came across a beautiful invention, it was amazing. A super thin plasma television (above). Its made by a company called, 'Unique Interiors'. Then I came across half a big baloon on a large sheet of mirror. It was the earth and as it reflected in the mirror, made a whole. We walked through, and inside was a ice block in the shope of earth, it was on a podium, (above). It was melting away, and this was an installation of the effects on the earth by the running out of human resources.

ABSOLUTE ICEBAR

ABSOLUTE ICEBAR
One cold and chilly night and after waiting for two months for the confirmation of our reservations, we went on a night out to the Absolute/Below Zero bar. Below Zero is the bar that you wait (have drink or two) in, before entering the Absolute Icebar. I could feel the cold all through the waiting to go in. They put on us a large furry coat that we put in over our heads. After all the hyp an waiting around, we were going in. It was this very small, over packed room. The bar and some panels and seats in the room were made from ice, but the rest of the room was just dirty and wet. We only had a 45 minute time slot, but after being in there for 20 minutes we left. The above pictures make it look really amazing, however after being in that atmosphere, taht wasn't the case. Also pictures of the ICE glass we drank ours drinks from, mine got stuck to the table :-( hehe.
