NEW DESIGNERS

NEW DESIGNERS
On my trip to the 'New Designers' in London, I saw two things that i realy liked the look of (above); The first picture above is a steel/metal sculpture of a bird. It looks so beautiful. The second picture is a guys piece of work. It is made from card alone. My little sister just wouldn't leave the boys work alone, she was so amazed by it. It is a very aesthetically pleasing piece of art.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

DIWALI
Diwali had pasted and I didn't get the chance to wish everyone a HAPPY DIWALI. We spend the whole two days with our nearest and dearest, as well as eating so much food and cooking just as much food. As Diwali is is the festival of light, and through light colour is gained, its the 'indian law' in our house to have the brightest and colourfulest looking house. Its tradition that every year my mum, sisters and I do a Rangoli a pattern done on the doorstep of homes (made from coloured power) to welcome people in. As it was raining this year we did one in doors, (above). I also went to see the fireworks (above), and along the way I saw Wembley Stadium's arch lite up (above). It looked so beautiful, this picture does no justice to reality.

RETAIL: MANGO MODEL

MANGO MODEL
To get me to think through the idea, I had to make another model. This was also done so I could take pictures of it and work from the pictures. I find making a model much easier the trying to visualise something and getting myself all confused. We were also asked to produce a final model as part of this project.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SPACE

PROSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SPACE
After making the first sketch model for MANGO I realised that it was working and therefore I worked through the idea. The main problem was space and so I decided to work on the plan and do positive and negative space. The blocked area represents positive space, where the items would be. Everything else is just design on the floor.
