WELL-BEING CENTRE

FINAL MODEL IMAGES
As I am concsentating on the main aspects of my model and creating a film from that. I made my model around the atrium and walkway. The rest of the building follows after the atrium. I used the university workshps to create this. The base, atrium and roof is all made from plastic. Then purchased the trees and outdoor flooring to glue on.

BEST PARTS OF DRAWING WITH MANGO

VISUALS OF THE BACK HALF OF THE STORE; CIRCULAR TABLE DISPLAYS
These images show where the display is located within the space and how they work

VISUALS OF THE CHANGING ROOMS
Here I used visuals that do not show exactly what the changing rooms look like but they give the atmosphere I want to create

BEST PARTS OF DRAWING WITH MANGO

VISUALS OF THE POINT OF SALE DISPALYS
Here I have used different sketch images of the display units and also how the space is used

VISUALS OF THE FRONT HALF OF THE STORE; TILL AREA
The images are all the front of the store, and the images show different angles of the front half of the store. I have used collage to create the style to the images

OVER-ALL VIEW OF THE SPACE
I started off with drawing sections of the design using the model to help me. However I find it very difficult, so therefore to help I took pictures of my model and this turned out to be an underlay for me to tray over and create images that look far realistic. I used fine liner to go over the drwings, then using an orange felt-tip I went over parts of the drwing. I aslo scaned them into photoshop and created the block colour colour, and the orange circles.

YOUNG VIRGIN

VIRGIN USING CAD
From the previous model this is the improved and finished rendered model. I have decided that my model needs to say the story of how it came about. From a drop of water that turns into a splash, and this is the metaphor for the people that can to this recoding studio to record/download there music, hoping to making it famous one day.

YOUNG VIRGIN

VIRGIN USING CAD
This is the splash made in 3DS Max and vectors imported in to the space, however the gap is from the missing glass splash that hasn't rendered.

YOUNG VIRGIN

VIRGIN USING CAD

As I am re-doing virgin using CAD, as from the images I showed before here is the model with the lighting put in.

I made the lighting using solid subtract on a sweep circle. And 'along path' to two circles, and solid subtract half of it.

RENDERED

RENDERED RECEPTION AREA
Above is the line drawing inked up and photocopyed on to watercolour paper, and painted. Below is the image photocopyed and rendered using pencil colours.

LINE DRAWING

LINE DRAWING
This is the final inked up line drawing I produced with the shapes in vectorworks.
This is very helpful when I am finding somethinf hard to draw in perspective, and to the right proportions.

CAD HELPS

CAD UNDERLAY
This is a under layer of shapes I put together to in order for me to know where thing is in perspective, and I will use this to line draw on top of.
I t represents the reception desk, display area, seating and circulation area.

RETAIL- MANGO

COLLAGE EXPERIMENTATION
Using cut up parts of coloured card, felt-tips and cut outs of models from magazines, I have created collage images of the interior space in Mango store. The images are untrue and made to look long in every direction, but I feel this adds to the effect of the space. It looks as though the images are from the 50's/60's.

BEAUTIFUL SECRETS

EXPERIMENTATION ON PAPAER
I started off by doin a two-point perspective line drawing (1st image), and inked it up. Then I photocopyed the image on to cartirage paper (2nd image), then used felt-tips to render the image. Finally I also photocopyedthe image on to ingres paper (3rd image), I then used chalk pastles to work in the texture of the paper to creat the best effect. I used different paper to create an effect and mood of calm and soft. I feel that the ingres paper and the media of chalk pastles have done this best. The coloured paper and texture helped to create this effect.

3RD YEAR DRAWING

PASTEL DRAWING
This an observational drawing I did using chalk pasteles. We had to do the drawing within 10 minutes, and the colour was optional. This has helped me with observational drawing as it is my weakness.

DESIGNER RESEARCH

TAKARA SPACE DESIGN
Is an independent company established by Takara Belmont, to offer a professional salon design service. They re-transform beauty salons, medical and dential centres. Above is the beauty salon they designed in Tokyo. I like the way the space is all white and they have used one colour to highlight the important aspects of the salons. This is the type of look I want to go for with Beautiful Secrets
